ADOPTIONS
Adoption Fees Include Spay/Neuter
- Dog Adoptions: $100
- Cat Adoptions: $50
- Adoption Offsite Events: $25
FREE ADOPTIONS
The following types of adoptions are free with the ASCMV:
- Animals that are 8 years or older
- Heartworm-positive animals
- FIV/FIP-positive cats
RECLAIM FEES
- First Impound: $0, if the pet is in compliance (sterilized, microchipped, up to date on vaccines), and reclaimed on the day of impound.
- Additional Impounds within the Fiscal Year: $50, if the pet is in compliance (sterilized, microchipped, up to date on vaccines).
- Boarding Fee: $15 per day for all pets if not reclaimed on the day of impound.
Applicable Fees for Pets Not In Compliance:
- First Impound: $30
- Additional Impounds within the Fiscal Year: $50
- Microchip: $10 (voucher and appointment provided if no veterinarian is available at reclaim)
- Rabies Vaccine: $10 (voucher and appointment provided if no veterinarian is available at reclaim)
Sterilization for Impounded Animals:
For an additional fee, owners may opt to schedule their pet for sterilization during the reclaim process.
- Sterilization Deposit: $65 (NM Stat § 77-1-20)
- Dog: $100 (with appointment)
- Cat: $75 (with appointment)
PET SURRENDER FEES - PER VISIT

PET ACCESSORIES
- Cardboard Cat Carrier: $5
- Dog Leash: $1
- E-collar: $5
