At Risk Animals are pets in our care who may need placement more urgently because of medical needs, behavior concerns, age, or other circumstances that make shelter life especially difficult for them.

These animals may be available for adoption, foster, or rescue placement. Being listed as “at risk” does not mean an animal is unadoptable. It means finding the right placement is especially important. If the shelter experiences a significant increase in incoming animals and space becomes limited, At Risk Animals may be among those most urgently needing an outcome.

Their adoption fee is just $25 to help them find homes faster.
